BeKids PlayGarden
Kita BeKids PlayGarden - German-Chinese Kindergarden will open in summer 2021. Children from 1 to 6 years are welcome to join us.
Our Kindergarden is located in the historical and cultural Prenzlauer Berg, on Rykestraße, near the famous Kollwitzplatz. We are surrounded by green boulevards, several spacious playgrounds, theatres for children, libraries, museums, organic markets, synagogues, schools as well as shops with an international flair. This undeniably pleasant and child-friendly setting offer our children invaluable experiences and enrich their understanding of the environment.
It is our conviction that children learn through play. We create an inviting and sensory learning environment. Our play-based curriculum enables every child to play happily and explore social and cultural diversity as well as bilingual communication. This aids them in developing their own joy for learning.
PLAYFUL SPACE
In our creative and discovery room, children experiment, trying out different possibilities to find answers, or create their unique works of art. In our child-friendly kitchen they get to know various ingredients and experience the joy of cooking and baking.
In our spacious sports room, kids can move and stretch freely to see how high they can climb, how far they can jump, or how they present themselves on stage. Here, we also greet each other in our morning circle, or hold our small conferences. Children learn how to participate in group activities, listen to others, or express their opinions.
In the dedicated area for role-playing game and building, our children play at being a chef, an architect, and other professional roles. There is also a quiet corner for reading for our little ones, where they can relax to music, discover picture books in different languages and, little by little, enjoy reading!
EXPLORATION GARDEN
Our – very own – garden lets our little adventurers experience and explore the elements of nature at their own pace. They can let loose in our sports and fun area, or help sow, tend, and reap in the vegetable garden. In the warmer months, exhausted little feet find some rest in the spacious shaded area.

OPENING HOURS
Our BeKids PlayGarden is open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00.
NUTRITION
We offer organic meals throughout the day. Lunch is delivered by a professional and certified organic caterer. Fruits and snacks are fresh from our kitchen.
BILINGUAL EDUCATORS
Our specialists are trained German and Chinese speaking teachers. We have a childcare facility in accordance with the regulations of the Senate Administration for Education, Youth and Family (Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Jugend und Familie).
COST CONTRIBUTION
Our non-profit organisation is financed by the Kita-Gutschein system of the state of Berlin.
In addition to the monthly cost-sharing for lunch in the amount of 23 Euros, we charge a flat monthly additional fee of 90 Euros for all-day organic meals and the bilingual childcare.
You can apply for the Kita-Gutschein either at your local youth welfare office (Jugendamt) or online.
